At Lakewood Cerritos Dental Centers, we are committed

Recently, new techniques in diagnosing and treating an enigmatic affliction have
become available. We wish to bring these to you, and in the coming months
we will be presenting diagnosis and treatment of Temporomandibular Disorder.
Temporomandibular disorder, or TMD (sometimes mistakenly
referred to as TMJ ), is a disorder affecting the Jaw Joint and surrounding
area, including teeth. People suffering from this disorder can experience
chronic pain or headaches and neck aches, along with toothaches, jaw pain, and
soreness in muscles.
TMD is a complex disorder because it involves many systems
of the human body and as such, misdiagnosis can occur. We wish to minimize
the risk for misdiagnosis by developing techniques for assessing your symptoms.
Once we are confident that you are suffering from TMD, we
will provide treatment to help diminish or remove the problem.
